Sterilizing Bottles

Material needed:

• Bottles
• Nipples
• Bottle brush
• Nipple brush
• Tongs
• Large pit with lid
• Jar with opening in lid for nipples
• Clean dish towel

Procedure:

1. Wash your hands
2. Obtain material listed above
3. Wash all bottles and nipples in dish-washing liquid and hot water. Rinse thoroughly
4. Place bottles and jar of nipples in large pot. Put two inches of water in the pot. Place lid on pot and boil for 5 minutes. Do not lift lid during this process
5. Let pot cool. Remove contents with tongs
6. Stand bottles on a clean dish towel to dry
